Clark Fork River, which runs right through Superior, Montana, offers some of the best whitewater rafting in northwest Montana and the Idaho Panhandle. River access in our area is not a problem since the river runs parallel to I-90 for many miles.
A range of rafting skill levels can be accommodated along the Clark Fork: Everything from family-friendly, relaxing Class I rapids to challenging Class III rapids. An especially popular rafting location is the Alberton Gorge section of the Clark Fork. Here, the water is relatively warm (in summer months), the rapids are perfect for the whole family, and the surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning.
The Superior area has a number of companies that specialize in river rafting. We've listed some of our favorites on this page. If you have any questions about whitewater rafting, please, give us a call. We'll be happy to help.
